Shield
This Battalion perpetuates the colors of a Transportation Battalion; golden yellow and brick red are colors traditionally associated with the Transportation Corps. The equilateral triangle symbolizes the unit's ability to be equal to any transportation task assigned. The black roundel refers to continuous mobile support. Green is one of the colors on the national flag of Italy; the green wavy bar represents service in that country during World War II. The crescent, an emblem of Tunisia, alludes to campaign participation in North Africa during World War II.
Crest
The colors red, white and green are adapted from the flag of Italy and together with the Roman helmet recall the unit's participation in the Sicily, Rome-Arno and Naples-Foggia campaigns during World War II. The helmet further symbolizes the unit's mission in preparing the soldier to meet all challenges. The crescent-shaped laurel wreath indicates service in Tunisia during World War II and signifies honor and achievement.
The coat of arms was approved on 23 May 1991. It was amended to correct the blazon and symbolism of the shield and blazon of the crest on 5 June 1991.
